부산대학교 앵커(구 RISE)사업단은 지역 성장 인재양성체계의 성공적인 추진과 지역혁신 생태계 고도화를 위해 그 구심점 역할을 확고히 다지고 있습니다. 지난 6월 8일 부산 해운대 파라다이스 호텔에서 열린 ‘2026년도 제1회 부산앵커대학총장협의회’에서는 일본이 지난 10년간 추진해 온 지(지식)거점정비사업(COC)부터 지역활성화 인재육성사업(SPARC)까지의 벤치마킹 연수 성과를 상세히 공유했습니다.
The Pusan National University Anchor (formerly RISE) Project Group is solidifying its role as a central pivot for the successful promotion of the regional growth talent-nurturing system and the advancement of the regional innovation ecosystem. At the ‘1st Busan Anchor University Presidents’ Council of 2026′ held at the Paradise Hotel in Haeundae, Busan, on June 8, the results of a benchmarking training on Japan’s initiatives over the past 10 years, from the Center of Community (COC) project to the Super-PRogram for Agriculture, Region and Community (SPARC), were shared in detail.
부산대학교 최재원 총장은 대학이 단순한 교육기관을 넘어 지역 발전의 핵심 거점으로 기능해야 함을 강조하며, 부산형 앵커사업의 과제를 구체화했습니다. 또한 최재원 총장은 지난 6월 23일 KBS부산 방송 보도를 통해 “연구 중심 대학, 교육 중심 대학, 취업 중심으로 움직여야 할 대학들이 각자의 역할을 나누어서 지역 산업을 유치하고 인력과 연구개발(R&D)을 공급해야 한다”고 역설했습니다. 특히 지역에 대한 이해와 관심을 높이고 사회 적응력을 기르는 ‘인간력 프로그램’ 등을 통해 지자체와 기업, 대학이 유기적으로 협력하는 플랫폼의 중요성을 대내외에 알렸습니다.
PNU President Choi Jae-won emphasized that universities must function as core hubs for regional development beyond simply being educational institutions, specifying the tasks of the Busan-style Anchor Project. Furthermore, in a KBS Busan broadcast on June 23, President Choi stressed, “Universities that should operate as research-centric, education-centric, and employment-centric institutions must divide their roles to attract regional industries and supply human resources and R&D.” In particular, he highlighted the importance of a platform where local governments, enterprises, and universities organically cooperate through initiatives like the ‘Human Capability Program,’ which enhances understanding of the region and fosters social adaptability.

첨단 기술과 산업 수요를 정밀하게 반영하여 학생들이 현장을 직접 경험하고 전문가와 깊이 있게 교류할 수 있는 다채로운 융합 프로그램들이 6월 내내 집중적으로 이어졌습니다.
Throughout June, diverse convergence programs were intensively operated, carefully reflecting advanced technologies and industrial demands to allow students to directly experience the field and interact deeply with experts.
13개 대학 학생들이 함께 쌓아 올리는 꿈, 적층제조 융합설계 워크숍
지난 6월 24일부터 26일까지 3일간 부산대학교 기계관 및 V-space에서는 전국 13개 대학의 교수 10명과 학생 48명이 참여한 대규모 워크숍이 진행되었습니다. 참가자들은 설계 구상부터 시작해 적층제조 기반의 제작과 검증에 이르는 전 과정을 단계적으로 경험했습니다. 창의적 아이디어를 실제 모형으로 구현해 내는 실습을 통해 미래 모빌리티 분야에 필수적인 실무형 융합설계 역량과 협업 능력을 동시에 배양하는 실질적인 교육 효과를 거두었습니다.
Dreams Built Together by Students from 13 Universities: Additive Manufacturing Convergence Design Workshop
For three days from June 24 to 26, a large-scale workshop involving 10 professors and 48 students from 13 universities nationwide was held at the PNU Mechanical Engineering Building and V-space. Participants experienced the entire process step-by-step, starting from design conception to additive manufacturing-based production and verification. Through practical exercises that brought creative ideas into physical models, they achieved substantial educational effects by simultaneously cultivating practical convergence design competencies and collaboration skills essential for the future mobility sector.
디지털 금융 포럼 및 2026 PHM KOREA X 미래모빌리티 세미나
금융과 첨단 기술 분야의 청사진도 활발히 논의되었습니다. 25일 그랜드 조선 부산에서 열린 ‘제7회 디지털 금융 포럼’에서는 전국 해양물류 물동량의 77%를 처리하는 부산의 압도적인 인프라에 블록체인 기반 스마트 물류 시스템을 결합하여, 대한민국 디지털 금융 전환의 핵심 기지로 도약할 수 있는 가능성이 강하게 대두되었습니다. 이어 26일 웨스틴조선 부산에서 개최된 모빌리티 세미나에는 23명의 교수 및 학생들이 참여해 조선·해양 분야의 PHM 기술 동향을 파악하고 현장 적용 사례를 분석하며 미래 신산업 중심의 학술 활동을 전개했습니다.
Digital Finance Forum and 2026 PHM KOREA X Future Mobility Seminar
Blueprints for finance and advanced technology sectors were also actively discussed. At the ‘7th Digital Finance Forum’ held at Grand Josun Busan on the 25th, the strong possibility of leaping forward as a key base for South Korea’s digital financial transformation was raised by combining a blockchain-based smart logistics system with Busan’s overwhelming infrastructure, which handles 77% of the nation’s maritime logistics cargo. Following this, at the mobility seminar held at Westin Josun Busan on the 26th, 23 professors and students participated in academic activities focused on new future industries, identifying PHM technology trends in the shipbuilding and marine sectors and analyzing field application cases.

헬스케어 AX 글로벌 역량 강화를 위한 스탠퍼드대 글로벌 연수
부산대학교 앵커사업단 AI·디지털테크 UIC는 6월 27일부터 7월 31일까지 미국 캘리포니아주 스탠퍼드대학교로 ‘PNU AI Global Research Program’ 파견 연수를 진행하고 있습니다. 정보컴퓨터공학부 송길태 교수와 석사과정 학생 4명(김민결, 김병진, 김진영, 박하성)이 참여하며, 이들은 의료데이터 기반의 구조적 비교유전체 분석 고도화 등 최신 연구동향을 접하고 국제 공동연구 역량을 한층 더 끌어올릴 계획입니다.
Stanford University Global Training to Strengthen Healthcare AX Global Competency
The PNU Anchor Project Group’s AI & Digital Tech UIC is conducting the ‘PNU AI Global Research Program’ dispatch training at Stanford University in California, USA, from June 27 to July 31. Professor Song Gil-tae of the Department of Information and Computer Engineering and four master’s students (Kim Min-gyeol, Kim Byeong-jin, Kim Jin-young, Park Ha-seong) are participating. They plan to encounter the latest research trends, such as the advancement of structural comparative genome analysis based on medical data, and further elevate their international joint research capabilities.
2026 외국인 유학생 페스티벌 및 한국사회학회 전기사회학대회
6월 27일 부산 아시아드 보조경기장에서는 ‘Stay in Busan, Connecting the World’라는 슬로건 아래 부산원아시아페스티벌과 연계한 글로벌 문화축제가 열렸습니다. 유학생과 부산 시민이 함께 문화를 공유하며 우수한 글로벌 인재들의 안정적인 지역 정주를 적극 지원했습니다. 한편, 19일과 20일 양일간 부산대 생물관 등에서 개최된 한국사회학회에서는 하버드대 미셸 라몽 석좌교수 등 270여 편의 발표가 이어지며, 극심한 분열을 겪는 한국 사회에서 타인에 대한 인정과 공존의 가치를 다시 묻는 뜻깊은 대화의 장이 펼쳐졌습니다.
2026 Foreign Student Festival and Korean Sociological Association Bi-annual Conference
On June 27, a global cultural festival linked with the Busan One Asia Festival was held at the Busan Asiad Auxiliary Stadium under the slogan ‘Stay in Busan, Connecting the World.’ International students and Busan citizens shared cultures together, actively supporting the stable local settlement of outstanding global talents. Meanwhile, at the Korean Sociological Association conference held at the PNU Biology Building over two days on the 19th and 20th, more than 270 presentations were made, including one by Harvard University Endowed Professor Michèle Lamont, unfolding a meaningful venue for dialogue to question the value of recognition and coexistence towards others in a deeply divided Korean society.

This June was a time for the Pusan National University Anchor (RISE) Project Group to take another leap forward as the pivot of regional education. From intricately woven educational programs fostering convergence talents centered on thorough practical verification to global academic exchanges encompassing advanced industries, the university, the region, and the world are being closely connected as one more than ever before. Moving forward, we will continue to unwaveringly lead the sustainable growth and innovation of Busan through customized talent nurturing based on the demands of the local industrial field and the advancement of industry-academia cooperation.
